New ‘fly don’t drive’ surfer style breaks to Newquay have been launched by Surfing is Therapy (SIT) this week, making the surfing lifestyle accessible to London urbanites in under an hour.

The luxury holiday firm organise luxury retreat holidays around the surfing lifestyle, along with personal surf safaris and corporate packages.

With the launch of the ‘fly don’t drive’ holidays, SIT says clients can escape stressful city life and chill out through the surfing lifestyle at the drop of a hat.

Flying to Newquay in Cornwall could make a short break much more attractive, taking away the stress of a 4-5 hour drive. In a press release, SIT claims: “City folk can chill out surfer style by jumping on a plane from London with hand luggage only and have everything completely taken care of at the other end.” 

The company can tailor the trip to a client’s needs – from accommodation to restaurant bookings – and will act as the perfect concierge.

Surfing is Therapy (SIT) prices for ‘fly don’t drive’ breaks start from £199pp. This includes 3 nights based on 4 sharing, in 5 star luxury self-catering accommodation, airport transfers, personal surf safari, restaurant reservations and luxury transport to restaurants in the evenings.

However, despite being named ‘fly but don’t drive’ holidays, flights are rather oddly not included in the price. ICM found the average cost from London Gatwick to Newquay to be around £49 each way for economy class and £163 for business class – so add at least another £100 on top of the price.
