Asda cashback on Quidco
Asda customers can now earn money back on their grocery shopping thanks to online cashback site Quidco.
Asda online customers can now get 1% cashback on their purchases if they buy their groceries through cashback site Quidco.
The average British family would therefore save £100 a year on their online grocery shopping, which according to Quidco, is the equivalent of 284 pints of milk or 189 loaves of bread.
The 1% cashback is for repeat grocery shopping. Shoppers can also gain 5% cashback when they purchase the supermarket’s George branded clothing and a huge 10% for photo services. The deal also covers delivery charges. As an added bonus, those shoppers new to the Quidco site can also earn £5 on their first shop.
Earlier this month, Asda revealed the results from its annual income tracker report, which showed that families were £8 better off than a year ago, with a £160 weekly discretionary income.
Speaking at the time, Andy Bond, Asda President and CEO, commented on the need for supermarkets to offer incentives to customers: “With inflation now at its lowest level in three years, it’s important that retailers pass on the savings they’re making as quickly as possible.
“Many of our customers are still cautious despite a year on year increase in spending power. Our job at Asda is to lower prices aggressively so we can give them the confidence to spend their hard-earned money in the run up to Christmas.”
Quidco is the “web’s cashback cooperative”, collecting referral commissions from online retailers and passing them on to its members. For full details of the Asda incentive and a breakdown of the different cashback amounts, visit: http://www.quidco.com/asda-com
