1:40pm GMT, Tuesday, 18 March 2008

ICM Chief Executive, Professor Tom Thomas, recently attended the 2008 European Business Awards in Paris.

ICM Chief Executive, Professor Tom Thomas, has just returned from the 2008 European Business Awards in Paris.

Tom was one of the judges for the Business Innovation of the Year category, an award created to honour an organisation that ‘can best demonstrate a proven ability to create, grow and develop innovations or processes that substantially improve the commercial performance or prospects of the company.’

Ten companies became finalists within the category – and at the event, Intamac Systems Ltd was awarded the final overall accolade for its innovative automated monitoring, messaging and control services.

Tom, having appeared as a judge for the UK National Business Awards for the past four years, was very impressed with the standard of the awards: “The awards presentation ceremony was a great success. With so many outstanding professionals all in one place it was a rewarding experience, and I was proud to be a part of it. The standard set by the finalists was exceptional.”

The presentation luncheon was held at the InterContinental Paris Le Grand hotel on 11 March. The awards are held annually to celebrate business excellence and comprise ten categories that recognise the diversity and breadth of business innovation throughout the whole of Europe.
