Business Development Manager – IP PBX, Voice Data & Telecoms
Borehamwood, Hertfordshire
£30,000 - £40,000 Basic DOE Plus Uncapped Commission

This company helps to make the Internet more productive for businesses. As an award winning company, they specialise in routers, firewalls, wireless and VoIP solutions. An opportunity has now arisen for a Business Development Manager to join their team.

In this role you will be responsible for creating and increasing the profile of the company’s IP PBX solutions within the data and voice reseller channel.

The company’s data products are already well established, and they are looking for a sales professional to take the voice data side of the business further. And as such, this position requires someone who is highly knowledgeable about the UK IP PBX and voice market, with a good understanding of the technology and key vendors.

As the Business Development Manager you will be tasked with identifying new opportunities and markets to sell our client’s voice products through both existing and new channel partners.

Your duties will include:

- Researching and identifying suitable market opportunities
- Identifying and recruiting new voice orientated dealers
- Providing training, sales and marketing support to the IPPBX channel partners

To be considered for this position, you must have experience of working with the UK voice market, with a telecoms vendor or specialist voice channel partner.

The following is also essential:

- Proven success in channel recruitment and of implementing channel programmes with the voice market
- Good knowledge of the key market requirements for traditional voice and IP PBX solutions
- Proven business to business (B2B) sales experience

As the Business Development Manager you will also need to be an excellent communicator with an outgoing personality and the ability to work at both a technical and commercial level. A confident telephone manner and accurate way of working is also key.

Whilst not essential, experience in a business development position working for an IP PBX vendor would be beneficial, as would a technical appreciation of voice technology.
