Business Development Manager, South East England
£50,000 to £60,000 per annum
Business Development Manager - Medical Instrument Decontamination / Dental Instrument Disinfection.
Up to £30,000 Basic- £36,000 OTE + Car, Pension, Life Assurance + More.
Territory - The Wash, Cambridge, Northampton, Hertfordshire and down to Folkestone.
This company is the UK market leader in the design and manufacture of a wide range of medical equipment including operating tables, electrosurgical units, bench-top autoclaves and surgical trolleys.
An opportunity has now arisen for an additional field based Business Development Manager to join the Infection Control Sales Team.
Reporting to the National Sales Manager-Infection Control, the role involves developing relationships with key Infection Control personnel / Commissioning Managers within Primary Care Trusts, ensuring maximum exposure of the Company’s products and services, identifying equipment prospects and ensuring all business is secured wherever possible.
The territory to be covered will be the area bordered by The Wash, Northampton, Hertfordshire and down to Folkestone and applicants will need to be based on territory and living, ideally, north of London / Cambridge area. The successful applicant will be working closely within the Infection Control sales team including internal Customer Support, Regional Service Managers & Engineering Teams.
A key aspect of the role would be assisting and driving the development of the Service engineering teams from a commercial perspective, ensuring maximum exposure to end users ofthe company’s equipment products, services and promotions.
Applicants for the Business Development Manager would need to demonstrate:
- Knowledge of the Primary Care healthcare market, particularly dentistry
- Knowledge of instrument decontamination within a Primary Care environment
- Commercial awareness and experience of working with personnel from a technical environment
- Experience of selling and negotiating directly to NHS trusts, procurement departments and private practitioners
- CRM database management an advantage
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both on a one-to-one basis and in larger groups, with the ability to demonstrate the way forward
- Must be highly motivated and capable of working as an effective team player
- Possession of a valid driving licence
- Must be flexible as may be required to work unsocial hours in order to complete a job or to stay away from home on occasions
- Attendance at regional & National Conferences / exhibitions will be required
