Business Development Manager, Sussex

£35,000 to £40,000 per annum

Due to this company’s unrivalled success in recent months they are in the enviable position to be expanding their operation into new areas. Built on the back of a well established, quality brand and service they are looking to branch into new areas and as such are looking for a strong Business Developer to head up this new division.

Duties:
- Attract new client accounts by planning and organising daily work schedule to prospect potential customers.
- Arrange sales meeting with potential customers to present portfolio of products and services.
- Meet and sell company services and systems to prospect current clients. 
- Maintain client relationships, increasing the portfolio of company services that they invest in.
- Develop and maintain database of clients.
- Work closely with National Sales Manager to develop and deliver Sales and Marketing Strategy.
- Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
- Develop and submit activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual analysis.
- Make recommendations to assist the company with future product development and service.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing sales results as needed.

Experience:
- Applicant must have a B2B Sales background
- Ideally the applicant will have had experience within the solutions based industries such as Telecommunications
- Applicant will be an achiever, who is self motivated and demonstrates both strong negotiating and closing skills
- Applicant must have experience of presenting to senior management
- Successful applicant will have a successful track record of telephone prospecting

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a good level of IT literacy. They will be familiar with and have a track record of using Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point to an intermediate level.
