Business Development Manager
£60,000 plus, car allowance and performance related bonus

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Manager to support growth and development work in the Independent Hospital Division and in particular in the South Wales services where you will be responsible for the successful implementation of our transformation strategy.

The company requires a motivated individual who will have responsibility to: 
- Initiate, develop and realise revenue and profit growth through development of the existing estate, new build, tenders and acquisition work 
- Build and maintain strong links with Commissioners and Purchasers alongside a strong understanding of current and future local and national government strategy in social care 
- Build commercially robust and operationally sound business cases for your new developments 
- Report to the Commercial Director and work closely with the Operational team to drive developments through from the initial idea to fully commissioned service

In addition, you must have the communication skills to convince the board members and purchasers of the commercial viability and advantage of the proposals.

Qualified to degree level, you will have a proven successful track record of new business development in the social care sector and be able to demonstrate strong project management skills. Previous operational experience within this sector would be an advantage. Highly numerate with strong analytical skills you will be able to evaluate and understand the competitive markets we operate in.

Travel within the UK will form part of this role and some overnight stays will be required.
