Business Manager, London
£50,000 to £65,000 per annum
Your Profile:
This company is looking for a business manager to head up their leading conference business serving the oil, gas and energy industry in Europe and in Asia. The business generates revenues of over 1.5 million pounds. You must have experience of running events and providing information services to the energy industry. You must be capable of pulling together and motivating a team that comprises sales staff, events producers, training course managers and online developers. Above all, you will have the drive and enthusiasm to be the key commercial ambassador for the brand: winning major clients and opening major conferences.
The Role:
The Business Manager will establish a strategy for this leading conference business and execute that plan. There are three major opportunities:
- Build on the already market leading conference portfolio
- To develop and grow the existing online platform, monetising the flow of technical content generated by the conferences in new ways, and also developing news content.
- Diversifying the business, and extending the model into growth markets.
This is a senior management role with full accountability for the business P&L. You will be expected to travel international promoting the brand.
