These Commercial Manager roles in the Joinery product team offer you the opportunity to work in an exciting and ever changing part of the business. You will be part of the Howdens Joinery team which nationally and internationally sources direct product to support our growing business.
You will have wide ranging responsibilities, managing and leading a purchasing team to deliver targeted P&L benefits and supply strategies that support and underpin their business objectives. You will also develop and manage a supply base that underpins the growth and success of the business and utilise your expertise and knowledge of the market to deliver business benefits. These are hands-on roles where your ability to manage purchasing resources will be of critical importance. Your role will involve travel across the UK and international travel.
You are likely to have a degree level qualification and already hold CIPS accreditation. You must be an experienced purchasing specialist with significant experience in a large organisation managing a substantial product portfolio. It is likely that you also have considerable staff management experience. You must be a self-starter, with first class communication and inter-personal skills, able to influence the business at all levels.
