An established local construction company that is part of an international construction and services group, has an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Manager / Surveying Manager to join their team.
Reporting to the Head of Surveying, you will effectively manage the Surveying function, ensuring that all company procedures and external legal requirements are fulfilled.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic individual who has experience at a similar level, or for a Managing Surveyor looking to take the next challenging step in their career development.
As a Commercial Manager / Surveying Manager your duties will include:
- Managing staff and resources in line with departmental plans and budgets
- Ensuring effective communication with project surveying and commercial teams
- Working with the Head of Surveying to introduce and update department processes and procedures
- Maximising commercial opportunities and minimising risk
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- significant contractor experience
- strong surveying experience
- a track record of managing a team
Additionally, as the Commercial Manager / Surveying Manager you should be an excellent communicator and negotiator with the ability to solve problems effectively. You should also have the drive and ambition to ensure the surveying and commercial teams deliver to the highest standards.
Whilst not essential, the ideal candidate will hold a RICS or CSCS qualification and have experience of dealing with dispute resolutions.
