National Business Development Manager, London
£50,000 per annum
Organisation Description:
Expert Patients Programme, who provide free self management courses for those living with long term illness are looking for a National Business Development Manager.
The main purpose of the role is:
- To provide leadership of Sales and Marketing Strategies to achieve income and set targets
- Identification, Negotiation and Acquisition of national contracts that meet strategic objectives
- Support the Regional Managers in the negotiation of local contracts and development of new business opportunities
Job Description:
- Responsible for ensuring the development and implementation of a national sales plan ensuring the achievement of income and delivery.
- To manage and mentor Regional Business Development Managers in developing commercial and business skills and in achieving regional sales strategies.
- Negotiation and agreement of National Contracts in line with strategic objectives
- Preparation of tenders at local, national and EU level.
- Effectively manage key relationships
- To ensure compliance with company Policies and Procedures promoting consistency throughout organisation.
- To achieve business growth and development by ensuring a sound pricing and budgetary strategy is established and maintained.
- To provide the drive and leadership for change focussing on achieving strategic objectives.
- Be responsible for continuous process and service improvement.
- Effectively manage key relationships with actual and potential commissioners and ensure that good relationships with key stakeholders are maintained.
- Provide annual and interim sales progress and financial reports
Person Specification:
- Ability to identify and negotiate Key National Contracts
- Ability to communicate ideas and concepts, both verbally and in typical written/presentation media.
- Knowledge of consultancy and client acquisition strategies, preferably gained through selling to PCT’s and into the health/care/public sector.
- Ability to set and deliver strategic objectives for this role in line with company strategy.
- Ability to manage and develop key staff to ensure they meet their business targets.
- Ability to develop and maintain good relationships with key commissioning stakeholders in public, private sector and government organisations.
