Photographers surround the monument of Paul the octupus at Sea Life aquarium in Oberhausen, western Germany Thursday Jan. 20, 2011.The two-meter-tall statue has been revealed for Paul the Octopus, the tentacled tipster who fascinated football fans by correctly predicting results at last year's World Cup. A spokeswoman for the Oberhausen aquarium, where Paul lived until he died three months ago, said Thursday the statue was erected because fans from around the world had asked for a place of remembrance for the psychic mollusk. Tanja Munzig said the cremated ashes of Paul were placed in a gold-leaf-covered urn inside an oversized football that is part of the Paul monument.
