Manufacturing jobs saved at COSi
Budelpack has acquired a number of business activities from cosmetics manufacturer COSi.
Contract manufacturer Budelpack has purchased a number of business activities from Creative Outsourcing Solutions international (COSi), safeguarding jobs at the Wales-based site.
COSi, a market leader in the manufacture and development of colour cosmetics and fragrances, had originally announced plans to cut jobs at its Maesteg factory. The site currently employs 560 people.
Budelpack said it will take over the activities on the basis of a new business plan for COSi, which records an annual turnover of €105 million (£70 million). This will provide the company with a solid basis for renewed profitable growth and the further development of its market position.
Budelpack described the acquisition as “strategically interesting” and said it expects the deal to enhance its product and service portfolio, strengthen its position in the personal care market, and add new strategic relations.
