Siemens to axe 4,200 jobs worldwide

Industrial giant Siemens has announced plans to axe 4,200 jobs worldwide in order to simplify its business structure and make its IT business “fit for the future”.


A new “Business GP” service has been launched in the UK, offering business support to entrepreneurs and SMEs, including free online advice between 12pm and 1pm every day.


Six browser makers who want more prominence on the new Microsoft Windows browser choice pop-up screen have petitioned the European Commission.


Video-streaming website YouTube is to add automatic captions to its videos in order to make them more accessible to people who are deaf and hard of hearing.


At the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona last week, Nokia announced its Nokia Money initiative that allows payments to be made using a mobile phone.
