A Carillion joint venture has won a six-year facilities management contract with BT worth £500m.
A Carillion joint venture has won a six-year facilities management contract with BT worth £500 million.
The six-year, total facilities management contract, which runs until April 2014, will be operated jointly by the three shareholders in the Monteray joint venture: Carillion, Haden Building Management (a subsidiary of Balfour Beatty) and Reliance Integrated Services.
The deal covers BT’s entire property portfolio – ranging from small, unmanned telephone exchanges in remote parts of Scotland to landmark sites such as London’s BT Tower – in total they will provide services to BT’s 7,000 buildings and 100,000 staff located throughout Britain.
Carillion Chief Executive, John McDonough, said: “We are delighted to have won this new contract for BT with whom we have developed an excellent relationship. This reinforces Carillion’s position as a leading provider of total facilities management solutions for major property estates.”
Carillion has a 51% equity interest in the Monteray joint venture, with the remaining 49% shared equally between the other two.
